Here we’ve got some darkroom works, all put together around 2005 in Berlin. A spacious flat is all it needs, so no windows in the front corridor, et voila.

Being of an impatient nature, the classical photo lab work was never really my cup of tea. Instead I collected leaves, wood, broken glass, dried peppers, paper cuts, plastic bags and combined them with slides into my own surreal worlds.

All this comes together with one of my favourite William Faulkner quotes:

“Memory believes before knowing remembers.
Believes longer than recollects, longer than knowing even wonders.”

It is from “Light in August”, also one of my favourite books.
